Saturday’s Photo Scavenger Hunt

This weeks' challenge is COLORFUL.

This is a colorful photo of my dogs, we were walking around the neighborhood.

These colorful people are part of a performance troupe,

called Strange Fruit, from Australia.

They perform high-up, atop 12-15" poles.

This colorful man is the frozen bannana vendor at

our minor league baseball games.

We really don't get much weather, here in Southern California, in July; but this year has been a GREAT exception. So, I was delighted to be able to capture these clouds one morning.

What IS that?

I had fun with this weeks' challenge, What IS that? I couldn't decide on just one, so I did four of my faves.

They are: 1. The center of a rose. 2. A disintegrating piece of plywood. 3. Empty grapefruit sections. 4. Sunflower, going to seed. Did you guess what they were?

Now go see what the rest of the Photo Hunters came up with.

Saturday’s Photo Scavenger Hunt - Shoes

This week the theme is shoes.

For work, I'm all about comfort. I have 4 pair of work shoes that I try to rotate. The Clark's on the right are my favorites; they're 8 years old and on their last legs. The 2 pair of Sketchers are very comfortable and versatile.

You'll find me most days, whether I pottering around the house and garden, or running around town, in my New Balance Walking shoes. They are usually my choice for Tai Chi class, too. Here they are tucked at the end of my dresser, ready to go.

Now, visit all the Hunters.

Saturday’s Photo Scavenger Hunt

This week's theme is share ANY photo, so I decided on this one:

Freeway Traveler

I caught this while driving on the freeway. Traffic was light, my camera was out, so I took the opportunity to pull along side this handsome fellow. He was actually eating, but I caught him between bites. I really like this photo, I hope you do too.

Photo Hunt - Time

When I think of 'time', I think of this clock. I've had it for about 30 years. Now, it hangs in the office, but in the past it was in the living room. I think it's a great functional piece of art. In the office, it's part of a greater display I call 'Bob's Glory Wall'. It has lots of mementos from his retirement. A certificate from the City of Los Angeles, letters of congratulations from the Governor and the President. Ten years ago the Governor of California was Pete Wilson, and the President was Bill Clinton, how times change. There are also some of his athletic medals, won at various competitions, and a couple of photos.

Saturday’s Photo Scavenger Hunt

This week's theme is High. I thought I'd join the hunt.

This is my grandson, Oden, on top of a boulder, at the Santa Rosa Plateau Nature Preserve. We did a hike there, on Monday. We hiked about 2 hours, both of us were happy but tired, when we got home.
