Music To My Ears, Friday - Flying Burrito Brothers - Hot Burrito #1

Love this song from the Flying Burrito Brothers. I have no idea what the title means, but I think it's a perfect love song. Gram Parsons was a great talent and an early pioneer of the country-rock movement. Long live the grievous angel: 1946-1973. The lyric I love is, "I'm your toy, I'm your ol' boy."

Here are all the lyrics:

You may be sweet and nice,
But that won't keep you warm at night
'Cause I'm the one who showed you how
To do the things you're doing now.
He may feel all your charms.
He might hold you in his arms,
But I'm the one who let you in.
I was right beside you in the end.
Once upon a time,
You let me feel you deep inside,
But nobody knew, nobody saw.
Do you remember the way we cried?
I'm your toy.
I'm your old boy,
But I don't want no one
But you to love me.
No, I wouldn't lie.
You know I'm not that kind of guy.
Once upon a time,
You let me feel you deep inside,
But nobody knew, nobody saw.
Do you remember the way we cried?
I'm your toy.
I'm your old boy,
But I don't want no one
But you to love me.
No, I wouldn't lie.
You know I'm not that kind of guy.

Maybe, I'm Amazed.

I was amazed at the response to my ABC Wednesday post. I can understand bloggers living outside of the US, not knowing some of our most famous authors. After all, I might not know theirs. I have my favorite British, Norweign, Swedish authors; and authors from Italy, Chile are not unknown to me. I read a lot.

But really, if you live in the US, you may be living under a rock not to heard of Amy Tan, Dave Barry,Greg Iles, James McBride, Kathi Goldmark, Matt Groening, Mitch Albom, Ridley Pearson, Roy Blount, Scott Turow, Stephen King.

Come on, Stephen King, Amy Tan, Mitch Albom, Really amazing.

This video is from Cheeseford, and this is what he says about it - "Really rather glorious, this. Rodlington Stewart with Ronnie Lane, Ronnie Wood, Ian McLagan and Kenney Jones tearing the arse out of Macca's 'Maybe I'm Amazed' in 1972. Marvellous as the original is, this really has something to it."
